His experiences started when he was a child, continued when he was a teenager, and progressed through his 20s into his 30s.

He started training in Ninjutsu/Ninpo when he was 26. He earned his black belt in Feb 2020 and was eligible to teach as a senior green belt in 2018 per approval from his Sensei (teacher) Sensei Omar Gilani and his Sensei's teacher, Shihan Mark Bramble.

He is currently working towards his Nidan (second degree black belt) certification.

He is currently the head instructor with the Yamagiri Dojo (aka NinVolution) in Alexandria Virginia. He does this in his spare time to help others achieve their personal goals through the art.

He also works to support the U.S. Government through his government contracting career working full time to support senior policymakers.

Senpai Christopher R. Sundeen has been training in various forms of Ninpo for more than a decade.

Due to him being an Active-Duty Veteran with the United States Coast Guard, there have been many times where he was unable to train.

Upon stationing in the National Capital Region, he sought out a new dojo and found us.

He is currently working aggressively towards his first degree black belt.

He is currently an assistant instructor with Yamagiri Dojo (NinVolution).

Who We Are

NinVolution is a company in name and mindset dedicated to promoting individual evolution based on Balance, Perseverance and Endurance. We teach leadership as well as situational awareness. We are a small veteran-owned business.

Ninjutsu is an ancient Japanese martial art that has been practiced for more than 1300 years (over a millennium). The art is popular around the world with masters hailing from Japan, United States, Brazil, Canada, Israel, United Kingdom and others. Ninjutsu is based on techniques popularized and utilized by the Ninja and the Samurai class in Feudal Japan, used in warfare. The techniques were previously only passed on through demonstration and word of mouth transmission.

NinVolution is part of a group of schools along the east coast of the U.S. currently in Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Florida. Sensei Joshua Friedland has been training in Ninjutsu for five years with a total of 9 years of martial arts experience between Tang Soo Do, Karate and hand to hand combat training from the United States Army. Sensei Friedland’s direct teacher is Sensei Omar Gilani of Yamajiro Ninja Academy in Vienna, Virginia. We are all students under Shihan Mark Bramble of Ninpo US (The Budo Center), who has been training in Ninjutsu for over 38 years.
